Founded in 2017, Hollywood Watch Company (HWC) is made up of group of history and cinema buffs who are passionate about preserving the legacy of one of the world’s greatest icons - the Hollywood Sign.
Hossam Antar (CEO)
After 4 years with Unilever in management accounting, brand management and business development and 5 years as a director with London Contemporary Art, Hossam founded various entities that operated successful art retail programs onboard luxury cruise lines such as Disney, Regent, Oceania, Silversea and MSC Cruises. Over the past 18 years, Hossam has developed valuable relationships with the most prominent artists and organizations in the country such as Peter Max, the Leroy Neiman Foundation and Sotheby's. Prior to founding Dreams International Aruba and Hollywood Watch Company, Hossam also founded and successfully exited the largest credit card loyalty program in the cruise industry with Barclays bank; Sea Miles.
Taryn Koshelnyk (COO)
A graduate of Varsity College, Taryn was a consultant for Unilever, Bacardi and P&G in South Africa. She has been a leader in fine art retail programs since 2001, becoming a Director of Dreams Fine Art in 2014. She is an accomplished public speaker, specializing in Art History and contemporary art. Taryn has worked with mainstream cruise lines including Disney, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line and Princess and luxury cruise lines such as Oceania, Regent, and Silversea. Her areas of expertise include the marketing, promotion, and sale of luxury goods in the Caribbean and through onboard retail outlets. Taryn is a founding member of Hollywood Watch Company and Dreams International St Maarten - an upscale art gallery on Front Street which receives in excess of 1.5 million tourists per year. Taryn is passionate about brand creation and development.
Ahmed Antar (Director of Online Operations)
Ahmed is a veteran web developer and multimedia designer. He has worked on hundreds of diverse projects ranging from cutting-edge websites, interactive multimedia, motion graphics applications and video games; to illustrative and graphic work. Ahmed has received accolades for his creative work, including the 2003 Award of Future Designer from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He is also a member and judge at (AIVA), The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts. Over the past 15 years, Ahmed has developed and managed both front and back end operations to numerous websites - including e-Commerce applications and online auction platforms. He has also designed countless marketing and branding materials; both digital and print media. He currently overseas website development and many aspects of our online operations.
Antoine Mandy (Director of International Retail)
After consistently delivering top sales results as an Art Director on nearly a dozen major luxury cruise line brands, Antoine moved on to training and business development. He has launched art programs on cruise ships, five-star hotels as well as providing a turnkey solution for upscale retail art galleries including design, build out, staff training, art selection and display, and artist relationship management in the Caribbean. Antoine is a founding Director of Dreams International NV in St Maarten and has all the necessary experience in corporate entity formation and management within the Dutch Antilles region. He is also passionate about creating fun and informative video content promoting beautiful cruise destinations with a particular focus on highlighting local hotspots and hidden travel gems.
Alana Douglas (Director of International Marketing)
Alana was raised in Vancouver, Canada and is fortunate to have thrived in several careers that have taken her to over 60 countries. She has organized marketing programs for luxury brands, such as Shinola, John Hardy, Phillip Stein and Fendi. In recent years she has had a fine art management role launching gallery operations onboard cruise ships and in the Caribbean islands of St Maarten and Aruba. Alana brings over a decade of experience in luxury retail and is thrilled to take on the role of Director of International Marketing for Hollywood Watch Company. “I’m thrilled to take the role of Director of International Marketing for Hollywood Watch Company, there is a lot of satisfaction in preserving a historical artifact so deep-seated in Americana.
